Southern Dental Assistants Society

Southern Dental Assisting Society is back in Full Swing!!!

We have all be affected in some way by the novel Coronavirus this year and for that reason I’d like to send special heartfelt thoughts and prayer to you and your family. As dental assistant’s I know we can survive anything that life sends our way. Dental Assistants are unique people always ready to step up to a challenge, pitch in when needed and depended on in a moment’s notice. Thank you ALL for working in this unprecedented time, seeing the emergency patients, treating all in need in a very difficult environment wearing N95 with level one mask and a face shield, more personal protective equipment and following new standards in dentistry. I commend and admire all of you for your perseverance!!!

I would like to announce that Becky Stodnick, SDAS President, Brittany Ewer and Toni Gabri-El SDAS Secretaries have resigned from their position as officers. In order to continue as a local society, we are in need of nominations, for President and Secretary by September 8th meeting. Currently Laurie Kurth is the Vice President and Stacy Williamson Treasurer. Roxane Terranova is running for President and Amanda Madara is running for Secretary or please consider yourself for an Officer position!

SDAS Executive Board has determined all continued education and business meetings will be presented online via Zoom, GoToMeeting or another virtual platform this year. Invitation for the meetings will be sent to your e-mail address on file so be sure to update your email address with SDAS and check your email.
