New Jersey Licensing for Dental Assistants

Dental Radiography

New Jersey Dental Assistants must possess a license as a “Dental x-ray technologist” means a person, other than a licensed practitioner, whose practice of radiologic technology is limited to intraoral radiography for diagnostic purposes only. Licensure is regulated by the Department of Environmental Protection, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:2D-24 et seq. Information on obtaining a dental x-ray license can be found on the Bureau’s website.

Registered Dental Assistant
